UD-CK’s development orientation is to complete the mission of a university in the Central Highlands that trains highly-qualified human resources, implements applied research and transfers technologies to serve the needs of the sustainable socio-economic development of the Central Highlands, Southern Laos and North - Eastern Cambodia.

UD-CK’s development orientation is to complete the mission of a university in the Central Highlands that trains highly-qualified human resources, implements applied research and transfers technologies to serve the needs of the sustainable socio-economic development of the Central Highlands, Southern Laos and North - Eastern Cambodia. To achieve these commitments, UD-CK is pursuing following strategies:


-    Contributing to the development of local communities in the Central Highlands through training highly-qualified human resources, implementing research and projects for the socio-economic development. 


-    Cooperating with member universities of UD and other universities in the Central Highlands, in Vietnam and all over the world in providing high quality training programs.


-    Collaborating with companies and organisations in providing scholarships, internship and employment opportunities for students.


-    Closely identifying learners’ demands to update training programs in time for human resource development in the Central Highlands.


-    Providing students with knowledge necessary for their future jobs and training practical skills.


-    Developing UD-CK into an interdisciplinary graduate and post-graduate training institution with following programs:


o    Economics: accounting, auditing, business administration, bank management, business administration in travel and tourism, international business management, agricultural business administration, banking, development economics, human resource management and commercial business.


o    Pedagogy: primary education, IT & mathematic pedagogy, education management, English language, social and natural science.


o    Science and technology: construction economics, electronics engineering, transportation construction engineering, civil engineering, information technology, biotechnology and food technology.


o    Law and public administration: economics law, civil law.


o    Foreign Language: English, Thai, Laotian… and other international language related majors.


o    Agriculture and Forestry: crop science, animal science, soil health and agricultural land.


-    Opening short courses for in-need organisations and individuals in the Central Highland.


-  Developing high qualified, professional and responsible staffs and lecturers through attracting talents, inviting experienced visiting lecturers and researchers from UD’s university members. Encouraging lecturers to study abroad via scholarships offered by the government and international institutions.


-    Regularly updating teaching methods, course curriculum, applying high technology in training, assessing and assuring training quality.


-   Promoting scientific research, transferring research results and technology into practice in local communities and enterprises.


-    Equipping facilities to support teaching, learning and doing research. Completing general construction planning for 02 campuses, attracting investments to update facilities for the university.
